The background is designed to resemble aged encyclopedia paper, filled with the first and last defined words from that chapter of Honeysuckle, page 37. These definitions aren’t traditional dictionary entries — they’re reflections, memories, and lived experiences expressed through poetry.
Layered on top is my original illustration of balanced scales intertwined with honeysuckle blooms, symbolizing self-worth, courage, and the delicate act of finding equilibrium within oneself.
Once printed, each piece is individually hand-embellished by me with textured gold paint across the scales, florals, and lettering — giving the artwork a warm, radiant glow that shifts with the light. No two prints are identical, making each one a slightly different expression of the same story.
